All in Postdoc Thoughts
Academic twitter was in disarray recently, this time regarding postdoc salaries. As trainee that’s always made more than the NIH baseline salary, I have some thoughts. Tl;dr: academics would be better off if they listened to hiphop. Kinda facetious, kinda serious, always obtuse, always my opinion, never financial advice.
I’ve been thinking a lot about my postdoc experience and figured I’d post advice, thoughts, and answer questions nobody asked. Title inspired by Jeezy’s TM:101 album, blog written à la Jay-Z’s first verse on “A Million and One Questions/Rhyme No More”, and cover art from Netflix’s “Squid Game.”
